About Me
Hi. My name is Ashley. I am from New Jersey, USA, and I live in North West England. I have lived here for over five years and counting, but my parents and extended family all live in the USA. So missing my family is a constant struggle for me. I also love food. Eating it. Cooking it. Watching other people cook it. You name it. I love everything there is to love about food.
Cooking recipes passed down from my family is one way I cope with the distance, so I don’t feel so far away from them. The great thing about family recipes is that with each recipe comes a happy memory of my family that involves that dish. And those are some of the stories I will be sharing on this blog.
When I think back to how I ended up here, in North West England, all of the significant moments that occurred during my time here–whether it was traveling to different countries, hanging out with my Uni friends from around the world, or meeting my husband–always centered around food. And it’s these memories that I will also be sharing with you.
